Didn’t clear CA final exams? What next?
It can be quite upsetting to not clear CA exams after many attempts, and one may think that it was a waste to choose commerce field, but today we have some other options for you that you can choose from, in case you quit or didn’t clear CA final exams.
CPA Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
CPA is one of the job possibilities available following CA. In the discipline of accounting, it represents the highest grade of proficiency. If you want CPA certification, you will also be familiar with US GAAP, IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAS, US federal taxation, and corporate legislation in addition to the CA.
Forensic accounting, international accounting, tax accounting, etc. are career opportunities after becoming a CPA.
The four papers or sections of the CPA Exam must be finished within a year.
Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
The CMA credential is another excellent job choice for CA graduates. Cost accounting and auditing are the foundation of CMA. Your credibility will grow and you'll have more options abroad if you pursue CMA. You can apply for the positions of Finance Manager and Financial Analyst through CMA. Additionally, you can work as a cost accountant, financial controller, chief financial officer, etc.
Similar to CA, CMA offers three levels and a total of 20 papers. The CMA programme lasts four years on average.
Financial Analyst, Chartered (CFA)
You might be wondering what to do after CA. You can choose CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), one of the professional possibilities available to CA dropouts. Opportunities in equity research, research analysis, investment banking, portfolio management, auditing, etc. can be found by earning a CFA.
It is a recognised education that will open up employment opportunities for you around the world and allow you to make good money. However, CA would have only let you travel to India.
Three levels of exams must be passed in order to become a CFA. In addition, you must have four years of real-world professional experience. After graduating or if you are in your final year of graduation, you can sign up for the CFA.
Analyst in Alternative Investments (CAIA)
One of the financial careers available to CA dropouts is the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). The primary area of emphasis is alternative investing. It's for you if you wish to work in the asset management and hedge fund sectors. Hedge funds, private equity, real estate, asset allocation, structured products, risk management, and ethics are the main topics covered by CAIA. After learning CAIA, you will be concentrating primarily on a particular speciality.
To obtain the title within a year or two, you must complete two levels and two tests.
Company Secretary (CS)
If you quit or drop out of CA, one job choice for CA dropouts is CS, or company secretary. CS is employed to take care of the business's legal and accounting issues. The only individual permitted to conduct an organization's secretarial audit is CS. A better job will be easier to find if you studied CS rather than CA.
Because CS is simpler than CA, you can easily finish it if you can't continue CA due to its complexity. Similar to CA, CS is broken down into Foundation, Executive, and Professional levels. However, you can begin the Executive stage if you have already passed the CA Foundation level or graduated.
Postgraduate Diploma in Management or Master of Business Administration (MBA) (PGDM)
You can take advantage of a variety of opportunities in the financial sector by earning an MBA or PGDM in finance. It provides you with fantastic employment chances in all private and public institutions. You can learn more about the duties of financial managers by getting an MBA or PGDM in finance. You can use it to manage your own business as well. You can study corporate statistics and predict economic trends with the aid of a finance MBA or PGDM. Additionally, it supports your decision-making when you select investment portfolios, enhance stock value, and manage risk. Although technically and theoretically distinct, the MBA and PGDM are virtually identical. MBA is a degree programme offered by all universities or institutions connected to universities.
So these are career opportunity if you didn’t clear CA Final exams.
